Established by Herbert Sprague in 1946 as the first independent flooring retailer in Dover, NH, Sprague Floor Covering is a third-generation family-run business. Today, Herbert’s values of customer service, taking pride in our work, and upper management expertise live on through his son Ted, grandson TJ, and our full crew of highly trained and certified technicians. John has over 20 years of experience in the flooring industry with the majority of that time being with Sprague Floor Covering. John grew up in Maine and joined the United States Air Force out of high school. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, John was looking for a part time job. His search landed him in the flooring department of Sears & Roebuck in Newington. John’s residential flooring career transitioned with the Sprague’s into the commercial end of flooring with a focus on the medical industry. John enjoys using his experience, along with the support of Sprague Floor Covering partnerships to find solutions to the unique and ever-changing challenges in healthcare flooring.

Gabriel has 17 years experience with flooring and construction, and has been part of the Sprague team since 2009. Gabe grew up in the Dover area and enjoys the quality of life the area offers to his family and friends. He began working in the residential frame to finish construction market, and then was able to find greater opportunities to work with Sprague and serve their customers in multiple roles over his career with us. As the Installation Manager, he enjoys working with our installers on technical applications to ensure not only a quality installation, but also the correct products and skillsets are provided for your project.
